This is the back panel of the book that I am writing. It is not a traditional back panel. |
This is how they see it. Julianna: My name is Julianna Louise Byrne, quite a mouthful, don’t you think? It’s rather long but it works for me. I once asked my father why he named me Julianna and he said I should be glad it wasn’t something like Bertha or Ethel and that effectively ended that conversation. Brandon: My name is Brandon James Tucker and I really have no issues with my name. Julianna: I am a Pharmacist and to say I have a colorful life would be an understatement. I believe I am surrounded by crazy and I’m not just speaking about my family either. You wouldn’t believe some of the people that walk through the front door of the Pharmacy, not to mention the people that work for me. I think you have to be crazy to work in Pharmacy, it’s some sort of pre-requisite. Brandon: She really does deal with a lot of crazy people. Julianna: The Pharmacy will be mine as soon as Uncle Owen retires. He’s having a little trouble leaving me in charge. He feels that the clientele is a little too much for me. So to make me just a little crazier, he hired this guy, Teague, what kind of name is that anyway, I don’t even think that it’s a real name. But I digress. Brandon: It’s a stupid name if you ask me. Julianna: He hired Teague to protect me, as if. Well I’m not about to let his dazzling blue eyes fool me; I know he is up to something. I just have to figure out what it is and why is he here in Big Deer. No one just moves here. He’s here for a reason or maybe he’s running from someone or maybe I watch too much T.V. Either way I will find out; that is unless he sweeps me off my feet first. Brandon: There will be no sweeping of anyones feet, but she really does watch too much T.V. Julianna: And then of course there’s Brandon, my on again off again guy. B and I have been friends since the 2nd grade when he kissed me on the cheek to prove to his friends that I was his girlfriend. I love Brandon but I hate his job. You see he’s a Fire Fighter and when he gets called I wait up all night for him to call and he knows now after 15 years that he has to call and tell me he’s O.K.. It seems that whenever we are together he gets a call. I can’t live like that and he won’t give up his job so we are at an impasse. Brandon: It’s not that she doesn’t respect what I do, I know that she does. She just worries about me. Every time a call goes out she knows about it. The fire whistle is right near the Pharmacy and unfortunately we seem to be together whenever my beeper goes off. I go to these fires because there are people who depend on me. This is what I was meant to do. Julianna: Brandon would do anything for me, except give up his job. Even knowing this we still slip into the on again phase, until the next call. Maybe I need a little Prozacâ„¢; I was told once that it should be in the water, we could all use a little happy added to our water. Brandon: For some reason I feel like I have to pay for my choice in careers. It doesn’t seem fair. For now I will take whatever she will give me but eventually she’ll come around. It really doesn’t matter how long I have to wait. I’ll be here whenever she is ready. Julianna: Eventually B and I will figure this out, that is unless Teague has something to say about it. Brandon: Julianna says she doesn’t like Teague but there is something going on. I’m not real worried about it. Yet. I’ll let it go for a bit and see how things play out. I would like to say that I am the type of guy that would let her make her own decision, well, for the most part I am but when it comes to Julianna some things are worth fighting for. Julianna: He’s right. Some things are worth fighting for but some things are better left alone. Brandon: I hope she’s talking about Tag, or whatever his name is. |
