Life as a Roller Coaster Ride

Life is like a roller coaster ride.
You slowly move up the hill to the top.
Anticipating the excitement on the other side.
Reaching the top you feel above the world.
Nothing can harm you or bring you down.

Suddenly, becoming frantic, you begin to fall.
Your stomach moves up to your throat.
Your heart beats faster.
This time your screams are of fear not joy.
Just as suddenly, you're back where you started.
And nervously jump off the roller coaster.
Vowing never to ride it again.
