Cynical take on an issue ive been dealing with involving a friend.
Coward.
Usurper of light.
A bright, nauseating personality,
Fueled by the love of others.
You have no innate beauty.
You consume the beauty in others
Twisting, mutating
into something perverse

A mockery of true beauty.
You are no great being.
Just an eroded golem.

Your shoulders burdened by the immense load
Of your sadness. Your melancholy is
Your most troublesome load.
Allow me
To take your load.
My knees are only broken.
My back only raw.
It only hurts to inhale

And exhale.

I’m happy to help
The one who stole my light,
My love. You took a sledge to my shins.
Flogged my back,
For what? Being an individual?
Trying to enjoy a little of the remaining light?
You bludgeoned me, your only competitor.
A delicate surface flower, hoping for a single ray of light
But the canopy above seizes every beam,
Squanders it on self-preservation.
Symbiosis is the answer, but you’ve slain you’re entire support system.

Think you can hoard the light?
Think you can have it all to yourself?
Go ahead and try. But soon you’ll see.
The sun will scorch your roots,
And you’ll fall,
Like a giant oak, crashing into to earth.
And the undergrowth will prevail.
