Letting Go

Poem Draft-Not sure if I like this

Letting go
is not as easy as it seems
letting go,
please tell me what it means
is it throwing away all the memories
is it throwing out all the used to be's
all the good times and all the sad times
Is it throwing away my smiles
and the times I was mad.

The anger wasn't at you but at my past mistakes
I was a fool who got caught up
In love with the fakes.
Nothing to do now but try to move on
letting go of all that is really gone
that means you
because your part of my past
even though I loved you it wasn't gonna last
I'm saying goodbye
and closing off my heart
hopefully in time
I'll have a new start.
