Scarlett…

Many miles away from were the warrior clans dwell, past the mountains and beyond the destroyed forest roamed the pack…

“Scarlett! Stop that at once” called Snowy angrily as she watched her cub nip one of the male wolfs hard on the leg, “oww!” howled the distressed male ( who happened to be next in line to become the alpha male) trying to clean the wound as the cub raced away.

“What have I told you over and over again!” demanded Snowy.

“We were just playing”

“playing doesn’t involve someone getting hurt!”

“Flower told me to do it!”

“If Flower told you to go wandering into shortfurs den would you do it?”

“N...n...N…no” stammered Scarlett

“Huh, just don’t ever do it again!” sighed Snowy, “I will have a word with flower later”

Scarlett stomped away angrily; she always got the blame for everything she and her cousin, flower, did together.

“stupid flower…” she grumbled under her breath.

scarlett nosed her way into the forest , she new as a young cub she was not allowed into the vast woodlands that stretched as far as the mountains, but right now she couldnt care less.

"GROWL" the sound of an enraged unfamiliar smelling animal errupted from the shadows, scarlett backed away in fear as a small pack of foxes surrounded her, there orange coats gleamed in the dawn sky and there glistening eyes shone red with hunger.

scarlett yowled  and began to race away bbut the foxes were dead on her trail, without realising scarlett was leading them to the camp.

as she hurled through the entrance tunnel every one looked up as the sour smell of fox and rotfood enterd the camp
