The Monster Boyfriend

Frightened and alone.
Walking silently down the street.
What had just happened.
I don’t know.

He scared me a lot.
I thought he wasn’t going to be like that.
But he was.
The question is why.

Why did he have to be like that.
Why did it have to go that far.
Why was I brought into it.
Why about our whole relationship.

I thought he liked me.
But he only wanted to use me.
Some boyfriend.
We dated for a week.

But it was a “behind the scenes” thing.
He wanted it that way.
I didn’t get why.
But now I do.
