Spilt Milk

It was a lashing like a thousand whips -
knives of steel honed
into words thrown from an angered tongue.

Blades cut fiercely
through a tender heart
from piercing wrath, hurting,
unearthed from bowels of ignorance
and over done.

(A misunderstanding)

Then I wondered if there ever was
loyalty at one time before
ego pushed it aside.
