Looking through his beady eyes The hands that braided the doll Softly humming an angel wise At that onset of that fall Puckered lips rose-in-a lot Lost at the work at hand Raised occationally her green-eyes sought Pleasure at securing her band She called him Nelson her pretty mate And patted him in indulgence And never did she miss till this date To silently revere his intelligence And he in turn never missed The silent sob in her throat As she begged prayed and wished In every word she wrote "Dear God who art in heaven With my mother at your side Make me disappear- promt at seven Before my father welts my hide" Some nights were sober- Filled with dreams Of peek-a-boo,trick or treat Aroma of mommy's night cream Smiling at the boy by street And once the fornight the boogeyman did knock With smelly mouth and pudgy finger Its Daddy my dear let go of the frock Grunts moan muffled sob that linger The only witness of maiming the rose Were the owls that roamed the night The night and pillows had already chose It was time to end the fight Daddy ate a lumpsome meal Living no drop no sliver Daddy slept his eyes seal Never to wake or waver. |
