Jingle bells chime, as Santa sets
His reindeer ready for a Merry
Christmas: that will be the harbinger
Of new hope, and filled with laughter.

Streets embellished with grand neon bulbs
gleam, as people mark the beginning
Of a New Year with lots of frolic;
Bidding goodbye to the past year.

As life rolls on we forget the old
And always welcome the new,
Alike memories which change
In the flowing cycle of life.
