Sparks fly from bonfires and during emotional roller coasters. |
Sparks Flying Sparks fly from crackling wood until the burnt embers reveal, the coldness of the night. Fireworks bang and sparklers fizzle, cascade around us then they die. Trampled into muddied ground. Children cheer, reveal their pleasure. Adults soothe the ones who are afraid, shielding them from harm. Relationships end and raw emotions, drift as sparks into the air. Kicked and prodded like dying embers into the muddied ground. |
