Senryu for Poetic Explorations An oft neglected relationship meets a health scare.

Catalyst

father, for daughter
elusive wind for kites, running
sagging, seeking

daughter, for father
a bird flitting from nest to nest
eager, busy

father diagnosed
my time exploring you
waning sun in winter

life’s peril exposed
fields once neglected we'll plow
new seeds there will grow

effort, laughter 
concrete splits for gentle flower
grace of time allows

father, daughter
ideas spark in two like-minds
elusive flames join, hearth.
