What happened in the past
Was a whole lot different
As what happened last

I was an idiot
I admit
Though you were the one
Who dragged me in it

A big fight
In the middle of the night
Two against five
We fought as if it was for our life

Though it wasn't enough
We got beaten up
Until I saw my chance and ran
Left you back there in shock

I apologized in many ways
For many days
Though you never accepted
And so we left it

Now 2 years later
You come up to me
Calling me a traitor

Standing with your new friends
Rubbing your hands
Knowing I don't stand a chance

I am stuck and out of luck
Preparing to fight
A helpless fight
Knowing there is a dark end in sight

Waking up in a hospital
Remembering little
Memories come back with the days
As the pain stays

The police asks questions
I don't reply
If I have to
I lie

Why would I
Do this
After all you've done
Because this time
I won't run
