Where Does One Go?

Where does one go to seek solace?
a simple haven of calm;
Where pain is reduced to a grimace,
and feelings are sheltered from harm.

Where does one go for affirmation?
to gain comfort and care;
Where deeds outweigh adoration,
and memories are pleasant and fair.

Where does one go when one is lost?
adrift on a dangerous sea;
Where hope and desire arrive at a cost,
and a future is difficult to see.

Where does one go to find love?
endearing, enduring and true;
Where everything fits like a glove,
and shines like a diamond that's new.

Where does one go at the end of the day?
When all is quite said and done;
Where words don't mean what they say,
And time...gently sets with the sun.
