Gossip around campus, but what is the truth? Written from a prompt for Writers Cramp.
Izzy says his eyes are brown,
And he's the newest 'kid' in town.
She thinks he's the one to turn my frown upside-down.

Jackie says his eyes are blue,
But she agrees with Izzy, too.
"He's sweet and funny
And cute, and honey
He's been asking for you."

He's five foot ten and a little bit chubby,
He's six foot two and not the least bit tubby,
He's eyes are blue, are brown, are gray,
But where's the truth in what they say?

He's happy, he's broody, he's mesmerizing.
One thing they agree is he's perfect for me.
He wants to find the girl with tears in her eyes.
So they gave him my address... It is not a surprise.

Doorbell rings, I close my eyes.
The girls ignore my heavy sighs,
And run upstairs leaving me to improvise.

I reach my hand for the door
And stop, thinking I want no more,
But he's right outside,
though I want to hide,
Whose this guy I'd fall for?

He's five eleven and he's woefully fine,
His eyes are a deep blue, and have captured mine.
He's funny and he's quite endearing
and nothing like what I was hearing

His hair is red, and it's quite unruly.
I now I think that I love him truly.
I'm no longer crying, no longer sighing.
For once these rumors are true.
It's all because I opened my heart to you.
