HIS PRECEPT, HIS LINE

"Precept upon precept and line upon line".
What good is meat for the baby?
Yet, milk is always strength to the man.

Choose your foundation wisely,
for one crack can divide.
A house divided against itself,
it cannot stand.

"Precept upon precept and line upon line".
For who has seen a child with understanding
and a man without a cause?

Give no thought for tomorrow,
For today's path is not yet directed.

"Precept upon precept and line upon line".
Know that His thoughts are not our thoughts,
and His time is not our time.

For line upon line, this shall be completed.
Being the chief cornerstone of all,
not given a number but a name.
And His glory shall be revealed
within the last precept and the last line.

Watch ye carefully,
not the sun,
but watch ye your ways.
For your ways are the times,
preparing the time of the Lord.

Know all your ways,
and live precept upon precept.

For His day,
His precept,
His line
is near.
