Heartbreat and Anger over Emmigration |
I was born in Ireland I am an Irish Citizen I grew up on this Emerald Isle, and I was raised with the Irish Traditions and with Irish manners. I was raised with working class manners, not the manners of the fat politicians and property developers. I was raised to have common courtesy and more importantly, common sense. Something which seems to have been left at the gates of Dail Eireann, I’m an Irish Citizen, and my blood will always have a tint of green, I’m an Irish Citizen, but for not much longer will I be an Irish resident. They will not be getting a vote when they finally call for an election. They will not be getting any more of my taxes to shove in the coffers of the inept banks, or to line the greedy pockets of leadership. They will no longer be getting my presence at any national, social or community events. The will no longer have my compassion or community spirit. They will no longer have the benefit of my experiences or of my education, And they will certainly not have my children, They will not get to see my children grow into teenagers and then adults. They will not be allowed to have that proud feeling that these children are from Ireland. So we will go, We will go somewhere where we will not be taken for a ride, Somewhere where we will not be belittled, Somewhere where we can do an honest day’s work and not be penalised for it. Somewhere where they have the common decently and more importantly the common courtesy to treat their citizens as humans, with respect, educated brains and manners. We will go somewhere where the leaders to do not look you in the eye and lie to you. We will somewhere where our children can have a life, can have an education, can have hopes and dreams. Without my children, they will have no future. We will go somewhere a bit more realistic. Goodbye Ireland |
