A poem about the change in seasons and feelings that go with them |
| Winter in autumn The lightest smattering of rain, Supersedes the falling leaves, Whose brilliant red will surely stain? The dewy grass! The sky an empty canvass, Broken only by a plane, Whose trail of octane fuel and gas Merge into cloud and rain. Umbrellas punch the heavy air, Black and blue collide, emblazoned truths, The sun has not the devils care, Remains aloof! The sky reflects the soul The clouds our passing thoughts As dreams of summer fade To Winter sports! |
