My Soul

Is my soul truly free?
For I feel it is trapped inside of me
It wishes to be released from its cage
Like the fury of the earth’s rage

But for my soul to be free I must fall
And one day I will answer that call
Until then my soul is stuck within
Keeping it feels like a sin

I wish I could just let it go
Where it’d go I wouldn’t know
It yearns to go above
And be with souls it came to love
