Christmas Thought

Did they really get it right?
When they told about that night?
Just a lone star shining bright
To show the way by its light.

Shepherds, Wise men journeying,
Searching for the new borne King.
Wise men riches they did bring,
Shepherds just came worshiping.
.
Was this child really God’s Son?
Was He mankind's chosen one?
To save us all, everyone?
An awakening begun.

Two hundred ten decades hence,
The world now seeming immense,
Millions with Christian pretense,
Yet lacking of moral sense.

Who is saved, and at what cost?
If not paid, how many lost?
We pray, hoping to exhaust
The tenets that we have crossed.
