The beach
alone

The dark sand
From receding sea
As trim, as neat
As a razor could edge

Tiny killdeer
Etching
Fading into the darkness

Rumbling dark clouds
Coming ashore
to conquer
all in their path
Except Her the sea

They exist from Her
Born from
Her Womb
Of salt green water
Rising-
A strong offspring
Testing itself
Under her watchful eye

Growing angrier it rumbles shoreway

Determined, it rages howling strength
From its mighty tears
It diminishes
It dies
Falling back to the salt green womb
