Four tree’s alone under a red sky
What I want to see before I die
All the brown leaves bend toward the door
Reaching for openness evermore
The elder achieves his goal
The leaves burning around a green pole
Life swirling and smoking around him
Knowing he is through just like a king
Willow spends time in constant observance
Distractions faintly passing, by chance
Sees a king in his purple eye’s
Wants to be his queen, no surprise
An oak stands guard, never seeing
Thinking he is strong, always fleeing
Needing and wanting to blend
Far his sight and everyone’s friend
The white fern waits, ungrown
With all the hardness fading, unknown
The heaviness doth lifts and will fade
Her small entrance in sight, slowly she is made
All four stand together with a growing sheen
Their leaves all touch and turn to green
Escaping the weight of fiery clouds
The door no longer hidden in shrouds
