You cannot always hide how you feel.

Hidden Feelings

You try to hide your feelings all the time.
I'm just a friend who really cares.
I know I'll never be that someone special to you
but I see some of your pain that makes me cry.

When I walk my dogs, I see you in your yard.
You try to hide your feelings. All the time
you turn around so I cannot see your face.
But I can feel there is something just not right.

When we do talk, it's about ordinary things.
You won't admit just once, life is hurting
you. Try to hide your feelngs. All the time
your insides will begin to shake, then break.

I'll let you know somehow that I'll be here.
Even the strongest man in the world breaks.
Life has many lessons to be learned, and I say,
"You try to hide your feelings all the time."

This is a quatern poem that has 4 four line stanzas. There are no rules for rhymes, but a refrain is repeated in a different pattern and syllable count.
