The Last Rose

Someone fallen, trying to get up again.

So when I fall to the ground/
dews to the sky
I'll reach out
but please don't try to hold me
all you'll get is the thorns that adorn me

Can you see the red beyond my darkness
Question my beauty/
I'm not heartless
I was there when you loved
there for your sorrow...
and every time it rained
And I bled
you left me unadorned
left me in the shadows

So when I fall I'll be thine/
set in your palms
But I'll be deathly
I know you'll let me
crumble and fade into empty.
