A midnight meeting with Edgar Allan Poe |
| Midnight is the time of shadows, when ghosts descend to Earth to complete unfinished business to free their souls from limbo. So it was on a midnight wet and dreary that I met Edgar Allan Poe. "Good evening, Mr. Poe," I said "What brings you to my dream?" He frowned and patted me on the head, "This is no dream, my dear, I have come to ask for your assistance to help me find my lost Lenore 'Only this, and nothing more.'" He knelt beside me, took my hand, then with a deep and mournful sigh, "Without my beautiful Lenore, my soul is doomed to wander upon the Earth forevermore." |
