This is what I see when I look at the tree across the street. Made changes. Do they work?
Demon in the Tree
It was 90 degrees the first night I saw the Demon in the tree. He was sitting on his throne and staring at me.
He was all green, from his horns down to his feet, except for his two black eyes and his pointed teeth
He was alone there every night after the lights turned on grinning and nodding and waving his arms.
Then one night he wasn’t alone. A man had attacked and was holding on.
Fighting and struggling and swaying in the breeze; trying so hard to save even me.
As the wind blows, the fight carries on, night after night and dawn after dawn.

Demon in the Tree (Version 2)
It was 60 degrees the first night I saw the Demon in the tree.
He was sitting on his throne and staring at me.
Across the parking lot and sitting up high; grinning and waving and saying, “Come on by.”
He was all green, from his horns to his feet, except for his two black eyes and his pointed teeth.
He was alone there every night after the lights turned on;
laughing and talking and carrying on.
Then one night he wasn’t alone.
A man had attacked and was gripping tight; to his neck and his chest and wouldn’t give up.
Fighting and struggling and swaying in the breeze; trying so hard to save even me.
As the wind blows, the fight carries on,
night after night and dawn after dawn.
An epic battle way up in the tree; that will continue on for eternity.
