A poem reflecting upon a stage of my life I have now passed.
*Kerhaus was a special place to me once, in which it held the remains of an old monastery which included a pyre and forgotten woodland. It reflects upon the time when I cherished this place. I haven't visited this site for over four years so I am returning gladly after a break and ready to write some more. I would very much appreciate it if you were to give me some comments on this work.*

From the dark, vile din
Of a burning night
Using kindling of sin
Marks the loss of a fight.
What words these are to think of when
Two women lived, so young in years,
Prayed in these halls and scoffed, 'amen,'
A burning never gave them fear.

But when I stood upon the spot
My mind was cloudy, dark and dead,
All that is left of these will rot
Their ever burnt unholy bed.

And so today I break the pane
Of longing once reserved for pain
When I would lay, in endless dark,
Could never hear the morning lark,
Could never face the morning bread,
Or love like breeze which dragged like lead,
A devil, screaming, plagued the mind,
And craved none other love but mine,
I sit today and evoke the day,
That as it rose in its usual way,
Blistered into a summer's morn,
From days of nights, a world was born.
