This is a story for What's your nightmare. Not so much scary as strange..
The floor was cold and earthen. No light shone in the room, yet it glowed dimly. Ancient runes circled the floor. I was in the center of a pentagram. I could not move out of fear, or force. A kindred spirit, a guide of dreams, Jacob appeared by my side. Gently he pulled me up and we stood together. There was great evil here.
“No matter what happens,” Jacob whispered, “Don’t tell him anything about you.” Not a second later he was thrown against the circular ceiling and then the wall directly in front of me. He groaned in pain.
“Jacob,” a voice cold enough to kill hissed, “bring me another piece to the puzzle did you? You know how I’d kill for freedom.” A hooded figure appeared between me and the wall and glared at me with deadly black eyes.
I flew into the wall full force and the corners of my vision grew blurry. Blood trickled down my face as I was rolled to face the center of the room. The man in the hood stepped into the center and a crushing weight fell against me. Jacob began to cough up blood beside me. When I reached for him I felt a piercing pain go up my arm.
“Naughty, naughty,” the man laughed, “We can’t have that. Not unless you plan on dying tonight. And that would be quite unfortunate for all of us.” I spit in his face. The man flew at me in rage. He was so close I could feel his hot breath on me. He pulled a knife from his belt and held it to my throat.
He Whispered: “you’re a pretty one. More often than not Jacob brings me the powerful girls with no magnetism, no…” he looked down and then returned my gaze with a smirk. He was a handsome man, with chiseled features. Had he not been staring at me with those hungry black eyes he would have been somewhere between fatherly and every girl’s dream. He had plated black hair, not so different from Jacob’s. I could not look away.
“Warren!” Jacob screamed, “You cannot have her! The fates are against it! She is not a pawn in your game and you know it!”
I felt the dagger leave my neck. Warren gave me one final look before sinking his perfectly human teeth into my neck. I felt dizzy but refused to submit to my fatigue, fearing the second level of my subconscious more than this. Warren pulled away and I reached to feel my neck. There was no mark, no blood, no pain.
“You are more naive than I thought.” Warren Chuckled. “Vampires do not exist love. Not the way you think. I stole energy, not blood. Blood has no power. Blood is silent. Tears have more merit than blood here. The tears of the right girl could break the seal.” He smirked again
“NO!” Jacob screamed.
“Shut up.” Warren demanded, sending a wave of pain towards Jacob. In my mind’s eye I felt the need to stop it.  I reached for it with my mind and took hold of it. Warren gasped and returned to me.
“The fates are against me having this one? Well damn them, and damn you.” He said to Jacob. He hurled a small dagger encrusted with diamonds towards him and a scream rose up from the depths of Jacob’s soul.
“What did you do to him??!!” I shrieked. Warren only pulled himself closer to me.
“Nothing he can’t handle. I on the other hand have a major energy deficiency.” And he returned himself to my neck. This time the blackness consumed me.

When my eyes reopened there was nothing to see. Everything was black. I tried to stand but found myself chained down. The rattling of my bonds comforted me in the thick black mass of nothingness. Eventually I heard footsteps nearing me. A torch flared to life, gasping for oxygen as its light reached to the corners of the darkness. I was still in the round room, but Jacob was gone. Only I was in the room, but I could feel warren nearby. He appeared over me.
“Welcome to level two,” he sneered. He floated to the opposite side and lifted me to the wall. “Hope you like living hell.” He reached again for his belt and pulled out two daggers, one for each hand. The first he hurled into my left arm, and I let out a blood curdling scream. Dizzily I looked at the blade and saw a single word: Confusion. The second blade went just opposite her sister, into my right arm. This one said Delusion .Warren pulled a final blade out. It seemed longer than the others. Two words tore throughout the room, pounding at my mind, eating at my soul, Say Yes, Say Yes.
“NO!!!” I screamed, not knowing what yes would bring. Warrens eyes sent a final cruel message before the last blade sunk itself into my stomach. This one had two words

I woke with a cold sweat. My entire body ached. I looked at my arms and found purple bruises that burned at the touch. To afraid to sleep I stood to leave my room, and Warren was there.
The final message from the blade came to mind before it all slipped away: Eternal Insanity.
