Too much Pride

An entry for the Expressions of Emotions Poetry Contest

Pride is a good thing,
They say.
It helps you want to reach your goals,
They say.
But who is 'They'?
'They' are prideful,
I say.
We are all 'They',
I say.
Even the preacher is prideful,
I say.
Including me,
I say.
Pride is a sin,
The preacher says.
Who is to say who is right?
Pride is pride.
