USEFUL EXCUSES PART II

1)  I guess that maybe I should have wrote that down.
2)You were talking to me?  I thought you were talking to (whoever walks into the room at this exact moment).
3) Well, I guess this makes your day now doesn’t it?
4) Next time, I will remember.
5) I was going to do it but then I thought, “Why?”
6) I was concerned about how I was going to approach this so I decided that what I should do is wait until you get a hold of me.  That way I could have your valuable input before I proceeded.  If I made a mistake, I would not be able to live with myself.
7) I’m sorry.  I wasn’t listening.
8) I quit.  I’m here to get my last cheque.
9) I put it on your desk.
10) I gave it to you.
11) It was done but someone messed it up again.
12) It’s on my to do list.
13) Let me guess...I’m unprofessional, right?
14) I should be more responsible, but I’m not.
15) Oh the shame of it!  I’ll never be able to face anyone again.
16) I knew I forgot something.
17) I suppose I’m going to be punished for this.
18) I would hate to assess someone’s job, but this is all your fault.  It’s up to you to make sure that I do it.
19) I think you’ve confused me with someone else.
20) I have a slight hearing problem.  Anytime you tell me something, I don’t hear it.
21) Oh right! Blame me.
22) I guess I should have told you that very few people put their trust in me.  Live and learn.
23) It’s all my fault.  There I have admitted it.
24) I guess a raise is out of the question.
25) I guess someone screwed up, didn’t they?
