My Poe inspired poem ("Annabel Lee")
I’ve been waiting many long minutes now,
         Boiling water for my tea,
My teabag was resting patiently in a cup
        My favorite kind, Earl Grey Tea;
And this bag waited if nothing else
         To be seeped just for me.

It was a bag; the cup was a cup,
         Waiting to mesh and make tea,
But it wasn’t just any normal blend,
         This was my Earl Grey Tea;
No other blend could quench my taste,
         Quite like Earl Grey Tea.

For this reason alone, is why I wait,
         For this magnificent batch of tea,
Sure I could get it someplace else, but
         It isn’t my Earl Grey Tea;
When I offer you to have some, know
         Not many are blessed like thee,
Once that fragrance creeps up your nose,
         You’ll say, “Love that Earl Grey Tea.”

But then I noticed, the empty jar
         That was once filled with tea,
There were no bags present inside,
         Not even one for little old me,
My humble offering has left me without,
         My beloved Earl Grey Tea;
I couldn’t believe it, I can't do without
         Seems kindness has a fee.

A thought; What if you don’t enjoy it,
         Quite as much as me,
         Who hates Earl Grey Tea?
A tremendous waste will happen if,
         You don't finish that cup of tea,
I guess I could always reuse the bag…
         Double-dipping is not for me.

I watch as you spoon in heaps of sugar,
         Ruining the flavor of tea,
I’m taken aback, I mutter from across
         “Stop, you’ll tarnish the tea!”
I snatch the cup to protect it from of you,
         Yelling, “This shall not be!”
You reach forth I fend you off, yelling
         “It’s my Earl Grey Tea!”

In the heat of the moment, I react
         Swinging the cup at thee.
The cup shattered, I’m there in shock,
         Weeping over my Earl Grey Tea!
To cope with my loss, I'm quick to lash out
         Violently pummeling at thee
Hollering while caving in your skull,
         “I’m without my Earl Grey Tea.
         How guilty does that make thee?!”
