In poetic verses the story of a man jumping from a bridge. |
The full moon shone with the intensity of the sun He stood basked in the shimmering light looking at the fun The midnight ocean water leaped at the sky kissing stars On the bridge there was a speedy buzzing of cars His broken heart leaked pain into the air The cold winter winds whispered beware Alcohol leant him courage for this task Such extreme suffering he could not mask He couldn’t understand why the world was this cruel Maybe he was just another fool He leaped off the metal ledge with extraordinary grace Leaving a haunting emptiness in his place |
