I look upon all of you
with pride and often tears.
My sadness gave a tainted view
of your love, over the years.

The pressure to be
what I feel within
is just too much for me.

How could I know what was to come
long after I had gone.
Sorry will not comfort some,
this cannot be undone.

Perfection I saw, in you, not me,
I struggled to be enough.
Your eyes - so blue - what did you see?
A diamond... or just the rough?

I want you out and far away
my plan I must fulfill.
I'm doing it today!

Daily struggles became too much
for my mind was not at peace.
The end, it came, without your touch
Finally.....my release.....

There, it's done
my pain is over
