The gift of love for summer
Sadly is not mine.
I am the storm-born writer,
Wintered by design.

But I'll pen a little answer,
If you so request.
My favourite part of spring,
The moment that is best:

It's the time when Spring draws
A fresh and faultless breath
And dares defy the winter,
Born out from its death.

Of darkness, bones and cold
Now let us do away;
On to warmth and laughter,
And from the night greet day.
