-Here Comes A Lie- by Keaton Foster The alter Of humankind Unwound The mess once made Never quite cleaned Refuse encased Glorious the stain Nothing Will wash it away Here comes a lie A charade of words Meant to hurt Right to the gut Down all will go Begging for mercy They’ll be none Not an ounce The truth betrayed Enslaved By our ways Burned in the fire What is right Such a lost idea Who can bare it Swearing no allegiance I must say That only those few Naked to reality know There is no God Not one seen Only one to be believed And when liars truly unite It is nothing short of amazing What they can get done Worlds have been changed Molded and crafted Time and again Brought up to new heights Laid back down at their feet Either way The end is the same Such a dangerous game Continually is it played Here comes a lie Take it in Make it yours What could I care More importantly What could you Such fools in kind Receiving What is being said Morphing it Into our own bullshit A vicious cycle With no reasonable end A purpose unintended From the very get In the garden of forever Those first few once stood They had their chance To do what was asked Not what was desired Such impossible choices Poisonous to our being We have never stood Any significant chance Everything after that A band aide upon a wound That will never really heal Here comes a lie What should you expect Nothing in the end Dare I confess to you My misspoken friends Simply put that is it… Here Comes A Lie Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
