A dark poem for the Dark Dreamcapes contest |
| Freedom shackled against volition, against will, against desire, against wish, against a vortex of supressed emotions. Agonized by the chains, freedom suffers and wrangles, experiences and feels the condign pain. Freedom struggles to break free, strives hard to unfurl itself, from the fetters of sorrow. The prisoned joy wails and howls, leaves open wounds in the heart that continue to bleed continually, profusely. Despair and happiness battle, A fray violent, riotous and wild Enough to conquer the darkest caverns. Line count-15 Writer's choice: prompt |
