My family of cats By Lisa Ann Noe Once upon a time I felt and saw A soft little gray kitty paw. It pawed at me as to say hello This little kitten sure put on a show. "Meow," it said as it looked at me With eyes so big and emerald green. A nose so pink as to make you woo To this little kitty I say I love you. Sharp little fangs and claws It nuzzles me upon my jaw. I think she loves me in her own way If she could talk what would that kitten say. She’d tell me she owns me I’m hers, I’m not free. She commands me to pet her, and this I do She tells me to feed her and water her too. She tells me clean her litter pan She makes me let her out on my land. She wants a mate so this I find one for her A sweet little boy cat with black and white fur. They shall have a family, I'll deliver her kits It is a never ending battle of wills and wits. I’m happy to have this cat family you see They are so very special to me. In memory of Mingo |
