Moon
Soon
You’ll rise
Hidden
Full
Quarter
Or half
Whatever
All of it is cash
Paid to me
Inspiration
Through interpretation
Of what you mean
And we see
There in our sky
Otherwise dark
You are present
At least it appears
Few times red
Most white
Some black
A moment
To lapse
Lighten up
Make night
Semi-day
A white wilderness
Of predators
And those turned prey
I’d howl at you
But really
That would be
Quite ridiculous
Instead
I’ll pay homage
To you
Moon
A spherical noose
Tied to truth
A by-product
Of all creation
The remnants
Of two things
Crashing into one
Kinda like love
Left over dust
Made beautiful
In the eye
Of at least
This beholder
You are barren
Vacant
And starring
Light and dark
Maybe good
And some bad
I’m not sure
But it matters none
How could I
How could we
Sit here and judge
Solar winds blow
Whipping dust
Changing little much
Hits to the face
One millions times
To many
Your injuries
Ancient
Compared to our
Total summary existence
Sure we’ve been there
Right where you are
Those brave few
But not me
From beneath
Under gravities crush
I have since stood
Admiring you
From 238 thousand
Miles away
Give or take
Moon
In you there is
And was meant
To be truth
I see it
I know it
I understand
Your cycles
Your values
The madness you inspire
And the wickedness
You somehow sire
When I’m bored
When my life
Becomes a chore
I head outside
And sit under your spell
Your white light
Floods my skin
You translucents
Fills my eyes
I see things
That probably most don’t
Does that make me crazy
No more than you
Or anyone else living
Moon
Soon you’ll come
Darkness
And you
Are waiting
Just there
Under the sun
I know it
And
I can feel it…
