You are the U in the US

Raindrops on the rose petals are beautiful

Kisses you give me make me bashful

As I blush with your kisses you hand me a rose

These are the moments I love and my heart bellows



You are my hero you stand tall to me

You make me feel happy and free

For you, I sing songs, write poems, profess love

I know you have been given to me from above



My words sound simple and easy to write

You are my best friend here on this night

I see a future for you and I

I want to be with you until I die.



For us, there will be no ending insight

You take my hand for the rest of your life

As I think of that rose you gave me to start

It has lived a long life here in my heart



You know how happy I am that, you are the u in us.
