My Favourite Day


My favourite time of the year is,
April 26.
When I wake up,
I am greeted with breakfast in bed.
Then starts the yearly ritual,
Of doing my favourite things.

We start of by getting a mocha coffee,
Then talking a walk in the park.
Shopping begins at my favourite store,
Where I do not have to worry,
Cost is not a factor today.
I get everything I want.

When I get home and walk through the door,
I am greeted with a chorus of, “Surprise!”
A great way to end the day,
On my birthday.
