"Made To Fly"


Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."




Ephesians 1:18 "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people."



Some days I feel completely lost,


entangled by my own fears.


Thinking I don't have what it takes,


to bring about any good in these years.


I shy away when the pressure is on,


afraid to make the wrong move.


Knowing how I fall flat on my face,


when I try to step outside the groove.


Too many moments I've let pass by,


from the doubts I carry inside.


Instead of pulling from my source,


I get the need to run and hide.


Afraid of the outcome that might occur,


if I speak of the truth inside me.


And all the voices within my head,


fill this heart full of misery.


But then I look at the web I'm in,


and stop to ask myself why.


That all this time I've been keeping low,


when I've been solely crafted to fly.


I have let my wings become crippled,


by the insecurities growing tall.


So often I forget my title,


and go on living life small.


But as I proceed on this journey ahead,


one thing becomes very clear.


God doesn't want our candle hid,


but reflected through the one in the mirror.
