"Magnify"

Matt. 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."



There's a longing within us all,

to have that every desire met.


We look to find security,


though seem to always forget.


That we don't serve a passive God,


who allows our "idols" to have priority.


And will keep himself distant,


until we recognize His superiority.


Our focus goes to what we lack,


and the failures in between.


When we're sustained by the very one,


who's hands hold the key.


But still we search for quick solutions,


while compromising in ways.


Thinking that our greatest efforts,


will surely bring us raise.


Yet we come up short every time,


and wonder where God's at.


Then grasp the fact our troubled heart,


has interfered with that. 


Because blessings from up above,


come only through our trust.


Not magnifying the situation,


but solely His love for us.
