Remedy for procrastination.
Delay Once More thought it a chore
to look for a new job.
When queried why he did not try,
Delay would duck and bob.

Some friends would ask yet More would bask
in apathetic calm.
Delay had ways to fend forays--
he did it with aplomb.

Despite snide scoff, Once More put off
that search to be employed.
With piquancy, e’en family
became more than annoyed.

Old Uncle Bill with iron will
urged More with austere words.
But Once with shrug, prone on the rug,
thought it was for the birds.

His gruff Aunt Jade in a tirade
got up in Delay’s face.
Yet More in glee grabbed a CD--
a soothing Hearts of Space.

Then wise old Al, a neighbor pal,
(a pal who knew More’s dad),
decided he would come and see
this dilatory lad.

Al took some wood (he knew he should)
and kindled More’s behind.
Delay Once More ran out the door--
a new job he would find.
