Keeping warm an unconventional way. |
In order to keep warm one day, we found a game we all could play. An action game, not Hearts nor Spades, but that old bromide called Charades. Now we had played this game before, yet now ‘twas time for an encore. Except this time with chill in place, we’d play it at a rapid pace. (Of course Charades is silent game, a movie title--guess the name.) Do anything, except don’t speak-- retain the voice, don’t let it leak!) When Ellieanna first arose, she pointed quickly at her toes. Then stepping quickly was the sign that her Charade was, Walk the Line. Curmudgeon Colin soon in spin (determined he would get a win), spun with aplomb and O so sure: his, Twister! tweaked the temperature. Expressive Alice took the stage; her countenance was red with rage. Charade an active Alice skit: and, Fast and Furious was it! The temperature began to rise as Albert Steinway rolled his eyes when he saw Nelly’s nose had flared and ‘fore long he was Running Scared. (Of course he ran in place for heat quite happy that he could compete in January Charades’ Bowl before the chill could take its toll.) A lovely lass named Jill Enwright shook up the Bowl with pure delight. Her, Shake charade provided lift when she with shapely hips shook swift. Enacting movie titles quick: speed, active, rapid--take your pick. The blur of fingers, hastened form-- acceleration made us warm. 40 Lines (Rhythm: 8) Writer’s Cramp Winner 1-10-15 _______ Movies Named: --Walk the Line --Twister --Fast and Furious --Running Scared --Shake |
