Tumultuous.
As the last whisper leaves,
The heart feels the shun of dark,
Left this faded shadow,
Yet here I still remain; inescapable,
Light so white and pure gives way,
Gives way to darkness, lending itself,
To sharp and jagged rocks of the mind,
Where friend and foe combine,
Comfort is something void,
Void of meaning is love or laughter,
Cold raises goosebumps on skin,
Skin grants entrance to pain,
Pain offers solace and reprieve,
There is love and laughter!
Ripped to shreds by terror and hate,
Red and fiery, clawing, twisted,
Horns sit atop the smile of a demon,
Breath so fast and devoid of moisture,
Eyes dulled, no smile left in them,
A battle is waged within and lost!
Always lost yet eternal and unyielding,
As sharp as a knife is the tongue,
Feelings cradle hope though frail,
Disgust begets anger and misery,
Misery desperately seeking company,
Until at last the rage overwhelms,
Pain beyond measure as the world fades!
Nothing makes sense through blood,
Through blood-tinged eyes.
