Jesus-The Most Precious Gift Contest

Whenever I see things I can not comprehend, happening on the news, I ask God about them. The Muslims killing each other, the buildings being crushed by bombs so people have no homes these are all horrendous sights. I all ways look in the things I read for knowledge of the way God is actually feeling about problems and knowledge about life results in general. I found this "Jesus-The Most Precious Gift Contest" while looking up writings of Newbies. I guess it is not a real contest--but it should be. The following are the answers my soul needed to look on the hopeful side for a way to understand why a people in any religion decide to kill instead of encourage. The Holocaust killed 6 million talented Jewish people and 3 million gypsies, members of brotherhoods, under privileged people of all types, plus the unnamed and unsorted. I don't have a count on the world holocaust going on in this age. So I wrote this for Lazy Writer. Anyone else who has an entry send it to her! It's her idea for her article.

Stop

studying the bible and start studying about God. God is a person. Christians know him as Jesus (Y'shua Hamashiach) Jesus Messiah. John 1-5 in the New Testament describes him and ties him in a Unity. The Unity of the personality of God is so important to our understanding of our Savior.

Read Psalms 2 in the Old Testament. "Blessed are all who take refuge in him," It describes the Savior. We all need saving from a lot of things. Tornadoes, train wrecks, gossip, slander, lack of understanding, lack of enough knowledge to make good decisions, ineffective government decisions, mobs, wars we did not start; the list is truly endless. So, now you can look into your life and find out where you need to press the save button. Psalm 6:4 - "Turn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love." The Psalms are about salvation by someone you can call on when things go wrong and rejoice with when things go right. He is Jesus.

So, how about history, what does it say. I like "The Lion, the witch, and The Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis. It speaks of the "old Magic" from a time we can't write about because we were not yet on the earth. The Lion tells the children things about their world. The one they inhabit when they are not in Narnia. The Lion is there too; in the other world, but in a different form, a human form. The human form that brings about salvation with sacrifice.

You can get a book called "Secret Societies of the Middle East" by Thomas Keightley from Gutenberg.org. It is actually, so interesting, and will tell you things about the creation of the Muslim religion. Here is one small fact, Muhammad grew the religion by capturing towns with a small gang of his relatives and friends. In each village the people were told, believe what I believe, join my forces, or get out of town or die. In this way their forces grew larger and the Muslim religion spread. It may have actually have benefited many of the people at the time because it centralized and consolidated social rules for living. It provided safety for everyone who lived the same way. So, the united front spread across the Arab lands. Spain, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, etc. Look at the places where Isis is trying to take control. All the places that were once a part of a vast Muslim nation.

Another reference that will guide you about the state of the Muslim religion is "Heretic" ("Why Islam Needs a Reformation Now") by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Ali states, "Now when I assert that Islam is not a religion of peace I do not mean that Islamic belief makes Muslims naturally violent. This is manifestly not the case: there are many millions of peaceful Muslims in the world. What I do say is that the call to violence and the justification for it are explicitly stated in the sacred texts of Islam." Fundamentalism has caused violence in all religions. When the Muslims begin to look straight to God as the father who wants good for everyone as individuals a good change is inevitable.

John 5:6--"When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be healed?" John 6:2 -" And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick." He fed approximately 5000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish. If you start studying all of this you will find all kinds of explanations but the fact remains people saw this happen and they believed it so strongly, that they were willing to sacrifice their own lives to spread what they knew to be true.

The healing, care of the poor, and feedings went on and on, so strongly, it caused the rulers of the Jewish synagogues a large amount of problems because when ordinary Israel people questioned them they could not explain what was happening in their country or their system of worship. Therefore, Jesus was labeled as a trouble maker. So, the corrupt people who wanted to maintain power, prestige, and money sacrificed him. They got rid of the one who was shining light on the problems of the day. Violence quite often gets rid of the people who are speaking out for good or needed change.

Read John 10 all of it. But, now read this, John 10:7-9--"so Jesus again said to them, Truly truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. all who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If any one enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture." Do you understand the freedom encased in this speech? Where ever you are, what ever you are doing; once you accept the call of the voice of the Lord you he will show you ways to keep your own good character alive and growing.

Read Ezekiel 18 it tells us some of the habits of humans that concern God Ezekiel 18:32 says: "For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live." Jesus does not want us to kill murder and maim. We are suppose to live on the earth and care for it like it is a splendid garden meant for joy.

Peter, one of the apostles. in an effort to save Jesus from being arrested cut off the ear of a soldier, who was sent to detain the Christ. Jesus rebuked Peter and healed the soldier by returning the ear to its proper place and healing the wound.

So, after Jesus fulfilled his time on the earth. His people were scattered from place to place by violent means. Sure, they used homes and built churches in which to gather . But, the Christ lives in individuals.

The big difference between Christianity (Christ is with us always) and the Muslim religion (they have the writings of the prophet which are sometimes severe, and do not create an updated solution to twenty first century problems.) God does not want to steal the Muslim identity he wants them to look directly at him as a savior. God is the same for all people. He prefers that they would stop killing each other and start building homes on the earth, creating good environments for their people.

God gives us freedom to chose our lifestyle, our friends, (Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Jehovah's Witness, Mormon, Buddhist, gay etc.). We can live inside a church group or outside of it as long as we walk with Jesus daily. It is the daily walk with Christ that is suppose to help us make good decisions that will follow the will of God.

Jesus promised. It's real. His example is healing, feeding the hungry, turning the other cheek. Christians are still losing their lives for their belief in him. It is not a simplistic do or don't belief. Jesus was the ultimate scapegoat. The difference is we are not alone, we have Jesus.
