"It's my daughter, Sarah. We can't find her." A missing child, 18 months old, apparently plucked from her own home in the middle of the night while her parents slept a few feet away, gone, disappeared without a trace. A nightmare. The parents, once accused of neglecting Sarah, a child with "special needs," are the primary suspects, until the message comes a few days later: "David and Dale are innocent. Don't bother looking. You won't find her." End of story. Except one cop, Detective Sergeant Basil Deblasio, refuses to give up. |
