Looking in your eyes

This is a poem about how I feel when I am around my children.

Looking in your eyes
means the whole world to me
When those eyes call out for me
My heartbeat rises and I know you need me
Looking in your eyes
gives me a direction every day
Tells me how well I am doing as your mom
Tells me if I need to slow down or catch up with you
I am not perfect at all and very wrong at times
But you accept me the way I am and still rely upon me
You give a new chance every single day
even if I have failed the very last day
You believe in me
You trust me with my instincts
You let me lead you
You let me follow you
This is only possible if I dont try and control you
This is only possible if I continue to empower you
We are in a circle of a relationship that revolves
What goes around comes around
You dont leave any opportunity to challenge me
I pull my hair often but still learn something at last
You make me a better person every time we are together
At the end of a day I feel just right and wanted
