This poem was created from words borrowed from Bill Bryson's A Walk In The Woods.
September 24 Prompt

We were taking the trail
Into the wilderness
After months of long preparations
It never occurred to us
To go alone.
This enterprise seemed daunting
Yet as I entered the lush green
Of the forest,
And heard the birds singing,
I felt the spirit of Mother Nature
Welcome us.
I knew there would be challenges
But I also knew
I needed to do this
We needed to face this
Together.
