For one month we have dabbled;
Sent our minds on a word chase
Of epic proportions.
We have crafted poems from thin air
And twisted them into parameters
That delighted and confused.
Our leaders, they were feisty;
Sent to send us on many convoluted challenges.
I swear they giggled with glee
When they thought they stumped us.
But most of us prevailed
Took their designs to heart
And bore poems that astounded
And some that did not...
We laughed and we cried;
Took heart and made merry
And all because two lovelies
decided to offer a contest
That constructed poems
With devious prompts.
I salute you, applaud you
And thank you
What more can I say...
I has been an experience
Beyond compare
And I would do it again
In a heartbeat.
