Coming upon a person facing death is always a tragic experience that must be dealt with.

Down upon
The street
Blood
And meat
A wounded
Being
About to cease
I didn’t see it
The accident
Stumbling here
The aftermath
Oh’ the hell
Her body
Broken
And then some
Her head
Well-seasoned
Split open
Like a melon
She
Unconsciously
Conscious
Is looking up
At God’s
Bluest sky
Motionless
Seamless
And somewhat
Meaningless
Let us assume
What could it hurt
That she
Is considering
What
Will be next
And if she
Is going home
Maybe
She knows it
Damn near certain
And so do I
All that being said
Poetically expressed
Upon her chest
I dare beat
Futile
A voice in the back
Of my mind says
Infinitely
Again and again
Please let her go
From this world today
It is her time
A rite of passage
Fate
Is not mistaken
How could it
Ever be
If she
Somehow
Was to live
If she
In some way
Was to be saved
Survive
Her life
That which remained
Would be hell
Her injuries
Grotesque
Her mind
Damaged
A quality of life
There would be none
She would suffer
She would be miserable
She’d beg to be dead
Put down
Killed on the spot
That’s no ways to live
From the world today
She is going to leave
Head on out
Live
Her final ounce
Breathe
Her final breath
Sure
It’s going to be sad
It always is
She’ll leave many behind
Those who love her
And those who know her
Will cry many good tears
Upon her behalf
As well as their own
None will say
That she got
What it is
She deserved
Who’d dare
From the world today
God above
Will take her home
He
Will make her his own
A mortally damaged
Blessing defined
Down upon
The street
Blood
And meat
There is
A wounded being
About to cease
I didn’t see it
The accident
I stumbled upon
The aftermath
Miserable am I
For trying to save her
Infinitely more
Am I upset
That I don’t know her
From the world today…
